Medical Oversight & Coordination

Every case is reviewed and signed off by a Medical Director before travel is approved.

Every case that comes through Skyline Medix is reviewed by a Medical Director before anything is booked. That oversight is what the rest of the coordination is built on.

What this looks like in practice

  • Medical records are reviewed in full before travel is planned
  • The Medical Director evaluates whether the patient is fit to travel, and under what conditions
  • Direct coordination with the patient’s treating physicians to confirm the plan makes clinical sense
  • Ongoing oversight through the case, not a one-time sign-off

Why it matters

Travel plans built without clinical review are how patients end up mid-itinerary in a situation no one accounted for. Having a Medical Director involved from the first review means the escort level, equipment, and routing are all decided with the patient’s actual condition in mind, not guessed at.

This is the first step of how a case moves through Skyline Medix, and it applies to every service on this site, from a commercial air escort to a full repatriation.
