Core Service

Medical Repatriation

Bringing a patient home, or to their preferred care facility, safely coordinated from origin to destination.

When a patient needs to get home, or to a care facility closer to family, every leg of the trip has to be planned around their medical condition, not the other way around. That is what medical repatriation means at Skyline Medix: a coordinated, door-to-door journey between two points of care, domestic or international.

What’s included

  • Pre-travel medical evaluation to confirm the patient is fit to travel
  • Direct coordination between the originating facility and the receiving hospital, clinic, or residence
  • Full itinerary planning across both domestic and international routes
  • Door-to-door service: the case is managed from the first handoff to the last

Who this is for

Stable patients who need to relocate for care or return home after treatment abroad or out of state, along with their families. This is not an emergency transport service. It’s for patients whose condition has been medically cleared for travel.

How it fits into the process

Repatriation cases go through the same case review every Skyline Medix case does: medical records review, Medical Director sign-off, airline coordination, and, where appropriate, a licensed paramedic escort for the journey itself.
